The Taughannock District is for Scouting in
Tompkins and Cortland Counties in Central New York.













The Boy Scouts of America has programs for boys from first grade through age 20, and also girls from ages 14 through 20. 

To find out more about the Scouting unit for you, your son or daughter, choose the program which fits: 

  • Cub Scouts is for boys in first through fifth grades
  • Boy Scouts is for boys in sixth grade, or age 11, through age 17
  • Venturing is for boys and girls ages 14 through 20.

The Taughannock District is a part of the Baden-Powell Council, which covers Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Tioga and Tompkins Counties in Central New York and Susquehanna County in Pennsylvania.
