First Ever National Venturing
Event
The National Council of the Boy Scouts of America has granted
approval for a large council to host the first ever National Venturing
event in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of Scouting. This BSA
Centennial Year National Venturing Event will happen in 2010.
The official announcement of this National level venturing event will
occur online at January 15th, 2010 at 6PM CST. National and regional
level Facebook groups will apparently be the first to hear the
announcement; the lead up to the event is being used by Venturing youth
leaders to grow the Venturing presence on Facebook.
There is currently a website dedicated to this event at http://www.nationalventuringevent.org.
The website includes a newsletter signup for the BSA Centennial Year
National Venturing Event email list and a countdown to the official
announcement. Details of the event will be posted around January
15th.
